- Being new to all of this, still researching. I make custom knives as a hobby and understand that I need a fiber laser to etch my logo into my knives. I’d also like to etch my logo into my leather sheaths, kydex sheaths and even the cardboard, presentation box my knives go into. For everything but the metal- will a diode laser work? Seems like I keep running across a CO2 laser in my research and really don’t want to buy three different lasers since this is just a hobby for me. Thanks for any help.
